A down economy, and the ensuing free time, is a great opportunity to audit your business and rid yourself of wasteful spending. When business is humming, its very easy to just go with it and not examine exactly where your advertising and other expenses are going. During a downturn, it becomes increasingly important to weed out unnecessary expenditures. This can only help you when the economy rebounds.
