Don’t you just love spring? It’s a time for new beginnings just about everywhere. There are new flowers and green grass. Birds are chirping and windows can finally be opened to air out the house. These are times for getting out the cobwebs that have gathered after yet another winter.
It’s also a great time for newness and improvements in other areas as well. I’m going to be taking advantage of spring myself and get started on some interesting business improvements of my own. Have you ever noticed how even business changes happen during specific seasons? That is precisely what is happening with me right now. Spring hit and with it so did the ideas and changes which really needed to happen.
So what this means is things are going to be pretty busy around here for myself as well as my staff. I’m getting really excited about some super changes in the works. Spring has sprung all over the place here and just about everyone is as thrilled as I am!
My staff members are currently in the process of shaping together an entirely new aspect to the business. Those of you who are readers over at Small Business Branding haven’t been forgotten either. I have a little something up my sleeve to help you out with this as well.
It’s going to be a very welcome relief for me indeed, considering I’m drowning in my own email inbox at the
moment. I’ll be quite happy to find my way out of the inbox and into more organized systems. This will definitely permit me to spend more time on the things that matter, and less time digging out from the bottom of a pile of email messages.
Maybe it could be time for you to consider some ‘spring cleaning’ of your own inbox. Who knows what you may find once you dig yourself out.
Although Down Under where I live it is Autumn (Fall to you Northerners), I have to agree with you about spring cleaning, and especially ‘spring cleaning’ our email boxes! The amount of time and energy we waste just going through it every day is unbelievable, so I will be joining you in ‘spring cleaning’ mine this week! Great post!
I’m feeling Spring which means Summer is coming soon! I have been getting a lot more accomplished lately thank goodness. I’m also in the process of clearing out the email inbox cobwebs. We are getting ready to change ISP/cable companies so I had to do it. I have gotten rid of so much and have a lot more to go but it feels good.
I do need to clean out some of my offline and online files. You’ve inspired me to do this on Saturday. I’m will clean out my my home office and feel refreshed. It’s guaranteed.
What a coincidence. I have only just finished ‘spring cleaning ‘ my inbox. I have divided everything into separate folders which is a god send because now I can find everything so much more easily
Emil & Angie – Glad you’re joining in, my email inbox is looking FAB and I’m installing a brand new support ticket system so I can’t wait for that!
Karl – Sounds great! I cleaned my files at the hospital yesterday while I was waiting for my daughter as she was getting radiation therapy. It’s amazing how much file cleaning you can get done in even just 20 minutes!
Sally – Awesome! The only problem I have with that is that I tend to file things away and then store them never going back. I just have to train myself to look in the folders again. lol!
Is there any way to cut down on the time of spring cleaning? Including cleaning out closets, cabinets, and drawers. Cleaning windows and window sills. I do this every year and it takes me a whole week.
One of the main reasons i migrated my company’s email system to Google was for that special clean inbox feeling. the spam filter is awesome, i never have to worry about filing (the archive button is a life saver) emails into categories, and i get the spring fresh feel everytime i login.
Now if only keeping my yard was that easy!
I’m finding Thunderbird is really helping me keep my inbox in order. We are suffering from a lot of spam with our web host at present, and Outlook users are really finding it difficult. With thunderbird though I seem to be able to train each client account to pick up about 95% of the spam within just a couple of days – leaves me much more time for core business activities.
i just cleaned my inbox too! i feel so accomplished!
(If i would have just started with folders I wouldn’t have had to clean in the first place)
wow! It has been a long time since I have heard somebody talk about something with such passion. I didn’t quite understand everything but the passion flows throughout the and it is amazing to see someone be so in depth about something. I can feel it
