I’ve been looking for just the right desktop blogging program for a while. This is a program that allows me to write blog posts without having to log-in to my Typepad account, which is at times not only a luxury, but also a necessity.
Right now would be one of the necessary time as Typepad doesn’t seem to want to let into my account. The name of this program is called w.bloggar, and it’s a free program, although Marcelo, the author, does accept donations.
Here’s what I like about this program so far:
1. It’s free (and I will make a donation if the program works well for me).
2. I can easily post the same entry to more than one blog simultaneously.
3. It works as well, if not better, than my Typepad interface. I actually have a full-width screen in which to write my post (vs Typepad’s 3/4 width screen).
What I don’t like so far:
1. I can’t seem to find an easy way to insert images (will keep looking).
2. You can’t create new categories for your blog posts.
