It’s every writers dream … "I just want to write about stuff I
love and get paid for it." Possible? It seems so. Sorta. I’m starting
to see more and more bloggers out there posting the earnings they’re
generating from their blogs.
The latest is soon-to-be SavvySoloCAST guest (hopefully) Darren Rowse
who writes the ProBlogger blog (among others). In a recent post titled:
I’m a Six Figure Blogger, Darren writes:
"August
is over and my monthly Adsense figures were a new record – the daily
average was $511.27 with the monthly total coming in at just a stones
throw from $16,000 (USD). The following picture is a screen capture
(with my personal details blocked out) of the monthly total. It
actually ended up being 0.36 cents higher than the total you see there
(it all counts I guess)."
Impressive to be
sure. Inspiring no doubt. And keep in mind Darren has been at this for
a few years. And he writes more than 15 blogs. And he does it
full-time. And he (probably) works very hard at it.
But it’s clear that you really can make money blogging. So
clear, in fact, I’m thinking I want to dedicate a space to the topic
within Solostream. I’m calling it ClamBlogger – How to Make Money With
Your Blog.
In the meantime, go get lost in Darren’s ProBlogger site. You’ll be glad you did. Just make sure you come back and tell us what you learn.
